Jessie Fullenkamp

Subject Matter Expertise/Personal Statement

Jessie Fullenkamp, LMSW, will serve as a consultant and trainer for curriculum development, education and training on LGBTQ identities, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Fullenkamp has over 15 years of experience of curriculum writing and presenting training for a variety of communities and systems of care including work in Kumasi, Ghana, and Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. Her expertise is in creating active learning that meets participants where they are based on their knowledge base, first language, cultural norms, and self-named priorities. Content areas Fullenkamp has experience with include, but are not limited to, LGBT identity; supporting parents and families through the Family Acceptance Project model; Intersectional Identity; and highlighting LGBT youth of color who are out of the home or in rejecting family environments. Fullenkamp is currently the youth services director at the Ruth Ellis Center, one of the first mission-specific nonprofits (1999) in the United States formed to promote permanence and well-being for out-of-home LGBTQ youth.
